Social Outreach

Serving Christ Through Compassion and Charity

At St. Theresa Church, Crawford, social outreach is an integral part of our Christian mission. Inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ and the example of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, we strive to extend God's love and compassion to those in need through various charitable and community service initiatives. Our parish is committed to promoting human dignity, supporting vulnerable individuals and families, and fostering a spirit of solidarity within the community.

Educational Assistance — Recognizing that education is a powerful tool for personal growth and social transformation, the parish supports students from economically disadvantaged families through scholarships and sponsorships, school fee assistance, distribution of study materials, support for higher education, and mentoring programs.

Medical Assistance — Following Christ's ministry of healing, the parish offers financial assistance for medical treatment, support for the elderly and chronically ill, help with emergency healthcare needs, health awareness programs, and prayer support for the sick and suffering.

Support for the Elderly — The parish honours its senior citizens through home visits and pastoral care, Holy Communion for the homebound, prayer gatherings, assistance during illness, and emotional and spiritual support.

Disaster Relief — Guided by Christian charity, the parish responds promptly to those affected by calamities through emergency food distribution, clothing and essential supplies, financial assistance, community fundraising, and volunteer rehabilitation efforts.

Charity Programs — Through outreach programs the parish serves the poor and vulnerable: support for needy families, food and grocery assistance, educational sponsorships, medical aid, seasonal outreach during Christmas and Easter, and assistance to widows, orphans, and differently-abled persons.

"Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." (Matthew 25:40)
